Anthony V. Junior, Ph.D Principal


Dr. Anthony Junior is a results-focused and solution-oriented program management consultant with more than 15-years of experience working with high-profile organizations in the private and public sectors.  He's particularly adept at building diverse and talented teams that work together to exceed performance standards.  Possesses a keen aptitude for guiding executive leadership teams in the end-to-end design and implementation of organizational development initiatives that increase employee retention rates and improve the overall working experience, as the CEO of Strategic Consulting Network, Inc (SCN).  SCN provides an array of leadership development services to a diverse portfolio of clients.  SCN leverages expertise in regulatory compliance, program development, project management, diversity & inclusion, and business development to help clients improve operational efficiency, employee engagement, and business performance. 


Dr. Junior is an adjunct instructor at Morehouse College (Business Strategy and Policy Courses) and Howard University's Executive Education programs (Strategic Planning, Leadership, Change Management, and Design Thinking).  He is a member of the Forbes Magazine Business Council, the George Washington University's School of Business, Customer Experience Program Advisory Council, Howard University, School of Business, Executive Education Programs, Board of Advisors, and the University of the District of Columbia, External Research Advisory Board.


He is a former US Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition executive with over 25 years of experience leading Navy-wide programs in S&T research ($45M annual budget), Navy science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education programs ($85M yearly budget), and Office of Naval Research (ONR) Small Business Programs ($500M annual budget).  

 

Dr. Junior graduated from Jackson State University, Jackson, MS, with a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration.  He's earned an MBA and a BS in Business Administration.  He's certified by the DoD as an acquisition professional (Contracting Officer and Program Manager), by the Project Management Institute (PMI) - Project Management Professional (PMP), and by Howard University/Sherpa Coaching - Executive Coach.  He's also completed executive certification programs at Harvard University Law School: Contract Law, Harvard University Business School: Negotiation Mastery; The University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business: Business Strategy; Hampton University: Executive Leadership Development Program, Georgetown University: Seminar for Executives on Legislative Operations, and the African American Board Leadership Institute: Foundations of Corporate Governance program.


 


Margaret Daniels Tyler

Margot Tyler is a leader who embraces change and new ideas.  She is both  reflective and action-oriented understanding that collaboration always  leads to the most creative outcomes.  Margot is a woman of principle who  takes pleasure, not in exercising power, but in seeing those around her  succeed and flourish. She finds her joy in problem-solving, and believes  that to lead is to serve.


Margot has created numerous field-building initiatives along the education lifecycle--from  high school to corporate careers--developing a broad range of inventive  delivery systems through multiple leverage points to improve access,  success and opportunity.  Her career portfolio includes providing  strategic and tactical guidance to the management of the Bill & Melinda  Gates Foundation’s $2B investments in scholarships, and working to  advance college completion goals by reducing barriers to post-secondary  attainment for young adults of poverty and color.


Previously, she served as UNCF Vice President and Executive Director of the Gates  Millennium Scholars Program, Manager of Global Diversity for the BCSS  initiative at McKinsey & Company Inc. one of the world’s preeminent  management consulting firms, Chief of Staff to the President of Norfolk  State University, and in several positions over almost two decades at  the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) including Director of  Masters Admission for the Sloan School of Management and Associate Dean  of Graduate Education.


A graduate of the Harvard  University John F. Kennedy School of Government with a Master of Public Administration degree, and Boston University with a Bachelor of Science  Degree in Education, Margot completed the MIT Sloan School Executive  Management Program.  She was also conferred a Doctorate of Humane Letters  honoris causa by both the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore, and  Loyola University of Chicago. Appointed Dean-in-Residence for the  Council of Graduate Schools at the National Center for Higher Education, her research resulted in two publications: Voices and Visions of  Success in the Pursuit of the PhD, and a companion document, Catalyst  for Success: The Summer Research Opportunity Program. More recently she  published an article in the Special 10th Anniversary Issue of Leader to  Leader Journal entitled, Creating an Incubator for Global Leadership.


Margot  has served on a number of governmental advisory bodies advancing STEM  education, including several for the National Science Foundation: the  National Advisory Council for Broadening Participation in STEM  managed by the American Institute for Research, the IGERT National  Recruitment Program Advisory Committee, and the NATO Postdoctoral  Fellowship Program Review Committee. She has also served on Special  Emphasis Panels and Invitational Workshops for the NIH, NIEHS, and the  Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences.
